Separate to membership of Railway Union Hockey Club, Hockey Ireland require that anyone who is a member of a hockey club needs to register with them, as the National Governing Body for hockey in Ireland. This includes all players, umpires, volunteers, coaches and off-field members (such as managers and administrators).
We are pleased to advise that Hockey Ireland have upgraded their member registration system. This will hopefully address some of the issues faced by members last year and they suggest that the changes will make the system easier to use and follow. The process has been simplified for both existing members as well as those registering for the first time.

The renewal date for Hockey Ireland membership is 1 August and members are asked to complete their renewals over the Summer. Hockey Ireland's membership fee is €30 for Adult Playing Members; €20 for Junior Members (Under 18) and €10 for Coaches, Managers, Volunteers and Supporters.
Membership of Hockey Ireland also provides some valuable player insurance benefits, which are described here: https://hockey.ie/membership/membership-injury-insurance/
Hockey Ireland have an FAQ Section to help with any issues you might have and if you need any assistance, please email membership@hockey.ie and they will assist you with registration. If you need to speak to someone in Hockey Ireland, you can phone 086 8159844 between the hours of 9-5 Monday to Friday.
For those who registered with Hockey Ireland last season, your Hockey Ireland Membership ID should be visible on your Pitchero App - go to "Account Details" by accessing the menu on the top right hand corner of the screen.
On behalf of the Hockey Club, we would ask that all adult members complete the registration in advance of the start of the start of the season and that parents of junior members do likewise on behalf of their children. This will ensure that the club maintains its good standing with the National Governing Body.
