Railway Union Sports Club will host a Family and Community Day in the club's grounds on Saturday July 29th, starting from 3pm in the afternoon.
The event is open to all our members, supporters, local residents and the wider community and there will be face painting, balloon artists, a bouncy castle for young children and DJ as well. With picnic tables and open grass space, attendees are encouraged to bring down their picnic blankets and enjoy a picnic on the grounds in what will hopefully be a warm and sunny July day.
The clubhouse and bar will be open for refreshments and we are planning to have the rotisserie chicken vendor on site as well.
The mens cricket 1st team will be playing Malahide in their Leinster Premier League match (12 o'clock start) and the bowls 1st team will be hosting Clontarf in their Division 2 league fixture (2.30pm start). In addition, Summer Hockey will be on at 12 o'clock for all those looking to have a social, yet competitive, run out on the astro turf pitch.
As the club and car park will be busy that day, we are asking those who plan to attend to use sustainable means of transport where they can and for those travelling by car, to make use of on street parking on local streets and the car parks on the Strand Road.
