5. Vice Presidents

The club appoints a member or former member as Vice-President as recognition of their contribution to the club over many years.

VPs as they are know are people who have significantly contributed to the club over many years either as a player or administrator.

When the womens and mens hockey clubs were formally merged together the VP lists were also merged together albeit both sections had operated different approaches to the appointment of VPs and as such there are many more VPs from the womens section in the overall list.

Each year the club committee review any nominations for VP and based on criteria such as contribution to the club for 10 years+, significant achievement either working on a specific project, or significant achievement from playing perspective.

Each year the VPs organise a VP lunch which coincides with a home womens and mens 1st XI match and allows a good opportunity for those not still in regular contact with the club to meet up with old friends. VPs are also included on the weekly roundup email so they can keep connected with the club.
